What is the Open Rewards – Texarkana program?

The Open Rewards program is a local shopping initiative that has thrived in over 200 communities across 30 states. It enables consumers to earn and redeem rewards at participating merchants in Texarkana, fostering community support and economic growth. Our mission is to foster connections.

How do I join the Open Rewards Program?

Become a participating business. As a member your contribution supports regional ad campaigns (social, digital, print, and radio), shop local events, seasonal promotions, and signage. There’s no additional training for your staff or changes to your POS system required – you can continue your regular business operations seamlessly.

Are there any costs associated with joining the program?

Yes, currently the program is sponsored by Connection Clix, however there will be an investment required to participate as this movement is structured differently than traditional advertising. 

This program has been designed intentionally as a long-term infrastructure, not a short term promotion. Previous grant-funded programs were extremely successful, but when the grant funding ended, so did the momentum.

The My Texarkana movement is a pilot program that shifts that model to build a consistent local rewards experience local shoppers can rely on, rather than a temporary program that disappears when the grant funding ends.

How Do customers earn rewards shopping at my business?

Customers earn rewards automatically when they make purchases at your business. They can use a credit/debit card linked to the App or scan their receipt into the App.

Will I need to change my existing processes to accommodate the program?

No, customers make regular purchases and either earn rewards or redeem rewards through the Open Rewards App.
